Nicole Watts has been working on my thirteen-year-old Paint eventing horse, Chico de Mayo, for about three years now. The change in Chico over the last three years has been unbelieveable. Of course, I was a little skeptical of holistic therapy at first, but I was willing to give it a try. The first time Nicole came out I was amazed at the instant reactions I was seeing from Chico. He has COPD, which means he gets over-heated easily and has trouble breathing. Nicole knows of certain points that are extremely helpful in centering his breathing. After each session, Chico (as well as myself!) feels very relaxed. I can always tell when Chico is due for another session, because our rides aren't as smooth and he is a little grumpy. Buck is a Belgian/QH cross in his late 20's who was given to me from a hunting camp in the low country. Years of hard use obviously had taken their toll on him. He was 3-legged lame when brought to me, which improved to just being very stiff in the front. He walked almost post-legged with very little motion in the front. When grazing or resting he flexed one knee or the other forward to take the weight off his foot. He has great feet; there was no evidence of thrush or founder to explain his discomfort. I was at the point of seriously considering putting him down because he just seemed miserable. He was very snappy; you had to be constantly on guard around him. Plus he had horrible bug bite allergies this year; he was just one big scab.

Dillon is a 13 year old AQHA gelding who I bought a year ago. He had lots of western pleasure experience, and was a safe kids horse with big soft eyes. He had HORRIBLE feet, so I pulled his shoes and embarked on the journey to barefoot. In retrospect, in the process I probably created some of the problems we had, because I think his feet bothered him more than I was aware of. Anyway, for whatever reason, his attitude was awful and he would get very upset when asked to move. I thought he had just gotten out of the 'work ethic' since I gave him some time off to let his feet recover, but he never got any better after being put back to work. He was constantly grumping, ear pinning and tail swishing. Finally I figured there must be more to it than attitude, so I called Nicole. He had a lot of what she called "static" particularly in the emotional meridians. He was constantly agitated, would pick at the other guys and wouldn't stand still. Nicole also found some issues that she felt would benefit from chiropractic - so we got those fixed. After his last session with Nicole she said his energy was so much quieter and calmer, and the few blockages she found were easily cleared. He definitely is much more relaxed and responsive to me. We continue to make slow, gradual progress in our return to work, and our hope is to eventually show a little in Walk/Jog and Trail classes. I highly recommend Nicole to anyone.

Nicole has helped my Appendix mare Shadow tremendously. Shadow was injured severely in February. She suffered from atrophy in her shoulder and an overall lameness in her left front leg.
